Make this under-the-radar drink for your holiday soiree
Despite its important-sounding name, the El Presidente cocktail runs fairly under the radar.
Parlor bartenders think it’s high time this simple rum cocktail with a Cuban flare gets its time in the spotlight.
The drink includes a couple special ingredients: be sure to use real grenadine (many are made with dyed corn syrup.) Stirrings is an easy brand to find. Blanc vermouth has a more delicate flavor than dry vermouth and a more subtle sweetness than the classic sweet vermouth.
The cocktail is perfect for chilly weather, and with its lower alcohol content, it is perfect for the holiday season, too.
Cheers!
